Blogging for Business

As a coach providing a valuable and personal service for your client, what’s the most important factor that goes into whether a client hires you or not?

It’s not your website, your credentials, or your years of experience. It’s you. People do business with people that they know, like and trust. Thus, the most effective way to market to them is by creating a relationship with them.

Your potential client may visit your website only once, receive your newsletter monthly, and occasionally see or hear you ‘live.’ But these intermittent points of contact are rarely enough to turn a prospect into a client.

An interactive blog, however, is the ideal way to create and develop an ongoing relationship. Prospects can visit daily and always find fresh content. Additionally, a blog allows for a much friendlier tone of voice. Both of these things and more accelerate the relationship building process. And there are other benefits as well.

With a blog you can…
• Attract search engine traffic through repeated use of keywords
• Raise your page rank in Google
• Get your blog and website indexed daily
• Help attract new clients
• Establish an online presence for very little money and few technical skills
• Become known
• Establish a conversation with readers and learn what their ever changing needs are
• Create a personal brand
• Reach potential clients from all over the world
• Expand your network

Blogging all by itself is not a sufficient marketing strategy anymore than just having a website will inundate your practice with clients. But a blog can be the missing link in your marketing funnel, one that will fill your practice with ideal clients.

What could a blog do for you?
