Have you run into any critics yet? Naysayers? People who don’t understand what you’re doing and why?
If you haven’t, you will. It’s inevitable. Some will be well-intended family members and friends who just don’t understand the vision God has given you. Others aren’t so well-intentioned. Lacking a compelling vision for their own life, they have plenty of time to critique and tear yours down.
It’s hard, but we can’t let it stand in our way. Face it, at the end of the day and at the end of our lives, we stand before an audience of One – and He is the only One that matters.
Be sure to surround yourself with encouraging, supportive, like-minded people, such as the coaches in this group. That will make this journey more fun and more successful for all of us.
Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to ‘see’ you on Monday.
Don’t forget to post your daily marketing activity in the comment section below.
My newsletter went out this morning sharing the final day for the Early Bird Special for my 10-Day Turnaround, Facebook ad is still going for that too, graphic shared on all of social media, connecting in groups, etc.
Hi Mary Lou, Good job. I’m praying you get a great response on this last day of your Early Bird special.
Downloaded Evernote and free Ebook on the essentials of using it.
Good for you, Marcia. I still have tons to learn about Evernote but using just the basic stuff is still a big help for me.
I bought a marketing book on Kindle that I love – Selling Your Strengths. I took a free Strengths Finder test.
That sounds like a great book. Let me know how you like it.
Meeting this AM with two friends to pray over my dilemma; Why do I say I want a Business but treat it like a Hobby? Hmmmm. Would appreciate your joining your prayers with ours.
Hi Carolyn, What a powerful question. I’ll join us in asking God to give you His insight and wisdom.
Carolyn,
I will join you in prayer. I’ve been treating my business as a high as well.
I edited my speaker bio for feature on flyers/bulletin inserts, etc. for the February speaking engagement I accepted and emailed it off to the pastor’s wife / women’s ministry leader. Also recorded the three talking points for my outline as number two and three came in short order this morning after number one was recorded yesterday. Love those Holy Spirit downloads!
Good for you, Nancy. For some reason, it takes me forever to write or update my bio so that’s great that you got it done.
I’m not feeling my best today, but got on a roll and created the “Parenting Toolbox Time” FB post template on Parenting Awesome Kids. Reformatted 5 upcoming posts to fit the format – yay! Now, water and rest… a great morning!
Oh… I linked the posts to an outside blog from FOF with Laurie Winslow Sargent – yay… using material I believe in that’s already written. It gives my followers something to discuss and keeps my blog active when I’m not!
Sorry you’re not feeling well, Linda. For someone who is sick, you sure got a lot done :).
Hello,
Today I wrote an update for my LinkedIn profile.
Cheers!
Good job, Gaetane. That will serve you well.
I also downloaded Evernote and put it on my phone and iPad as well. Also downloaded Expensify to make organizing my financials easier. Hoping they help to simplify things… I’m all for simplifying. I connected with a client who was “taking a break” and who is now returning to coaching with me next month :).
Awesome about the client beginning again. Yay!
Let me know if you like Expensify. I’ve not heard of that, and I’d love to know if it works well for you.
I finally took the time to watch a few YouTube videos I had marked to “watch later.” Watched a couple on Marketing and a couple on designing a logo. One of the marketing videos by Steve Jobs is one I definitely want to mull over and watch again!
That’s great, Deborah. The Steve Jobs one sounds interesting. He was a brilliant man.
I had a productive day, more than a 5 minute investment today :). I posted a new blog today and added tags and categories to my blog. I also did one more unit on Jeff’s Intentional Blogger program. I installed an SEO plugin on my blog. It will be interesting to see how that impacts my traffic.
Glad to see how much you are getting done, Rayna. And good for you for going beyond your daily 5 minute goal, sometimes when we are in the mood to market it’s smart to seize the moment :).
Spent my five minutes outside my comfort zone by calling a contact who is not in my niche, but who interacts with many who are. Focused on reconnecting, and reminding him what I do… and how he could help in the area of connecting. A positive experience because he understands the vision God has given me!
That’s beautiful, Vic. Good for you.
After days and days of working on a business card design, and trying out endless different ones to see how they’d look, I finally settled on one. 🙂
Yay, Monique. The good news is that while it can be frustrating how long something like that takes, once it’s done you don’t have to revisit it again for a looooong time. Good job.
My husband and I were traveling today so I did not have the ability to work on my computer, so I decided to read a motivational book while my husband drove. The book was written by Tony Robbins and in it he wrote, “Find a way to do more for others than anyone else does. Become more valuable. Do more. Give more. Be more. Serve more. ” Great words that can be applied to coaches!
Great quote. Thanks for sharing that.
Hi Kim,
My activity for today was to check Google Analytics to see what my most popular web page is. Things looked better that I hoped. Thank you for the 101+ 5-Minute Marketing Ideas. Doing these activities has provided a much needed push for my coaching business.
You are so welcome, Jim. I’m so glad you are joining us.
I downloaded Evernote on to my computer, kindle and phone…now to learn how to use it! 🙂
Hi Barbara, You are off to a great start with Evernote. And keep in mind, you don’t have to know how to use all of it, only enough so that it will do what you want it to do.
I made a plan to update my business card and Facebook header to make it more appealing and include additional information about my Daring Way™ coaching using Brene´ Brown’s materials.
That’s great, Jeanette. I’ve heard wonderful things about Brene Brown’s materials.
I cleared 2 years worth of bookmark clutter from my computer – wahoo!
