Marketing Is War! – Marketing Mindsets: Part II

by | 8 comments

We are at war!

No, I’m not talking about the war on drugs or the war on terror, but the spiritual war being fought moment by moment inside of us, the war for our hearts and souls. In this war, the battlefield is the mind.

As a man thinks within himself, so is he. Proverbs 23:9 (KJV)

God has a calling on your life. A plan for who He wants you to be, things He wants you to do and people He wants you to serve.

Satan’s goal is to thwart that plan.

Our enemy is subtle, seductive, and all too often effective because the chief weapon in his arsenal is the lie. Jesus describes our enemy this way:

…he is a liar, and the father of lies. John 8:44 (NIV)

Unfortunately, many of Satan’s lies are so subtle and have been with us for so long -that they have probably begun to sound like truth.

How do you win the war that is raging in your mind? The war where Satan wants to stop you from becoming the coach God called you to be? The war where your enemy wants to deceive you into thinking that marketing a coaching business is not possible?

Jesus tells us how:

If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32 (NASB)

When we abide in God’s word, the truth about who we are, what we can do and how we really can serve the people God has called us to serve will increasingly be set apart from Satan’s lies.

What sabotaging thoughts has Satan been whispering in your ear and how do his lies compare with God’s timeless truths?

What a great way to start my day…with Kim Avery…encouraging me to LISTEN carefully (to actually intentionally pay attention) to what lies I am telling myself…what lies satan is whispering in my ear…so I can CHOOSE not to believe them AND DEFEAT them with TRUTH from the Word of God. Thanks, Kim!
