You Are Not Alone ~ Christian Coaches Give Thanks

by | 6 comments

No one succeeds alone.

No coach succeeds alone.

God created us to live in community, and extraordinary blessings come when we do.  Comfort, wisdom, encouragement, exhortation, support, resources and so much more flow freely from the valuable interchange between colleagues and friends.

May I Thank You?

I love being a Christian coach and being in community with each of you. Thank you for being who you are and doing what you do. You give me much, and I am blessed.

It’s Your Turn to Share

In honor of Thanksgiving, this week is your chance to share how God has blessed you. Below you will find a delightful compilation of your reflections on the honor of living in community and being called to coach. Enjoy!

One reason I’m thankful God called me to be a coach is the blessing of working from home these past 14 years and having a much more direct & daily influence in the lives of our children, whom Rachel & I homeschool, than would have otherwise been the case. It’s one of our single greatest blessings.

We have been given one life to live ~ there is nothing more fulfilling than to be invited in the life of another to help them draw out the great potential that God has placed within them. We all need support but sometimes more importantly a witness to the great bravery that is needed to live a life of meaning. It is an invitation, it is an honor, and I am eternally grateful for the trust placed in me.

One reason I’m thankful God has called me to be a coach is that I get to partner with Him as He guides people through life transitions and change. The anxiousness of uncertainty is replaced with peace as joy as an individual draws near to God’s heart for them and begins to believe in His promises and act on them. Nothing like it!

Praise and Thanksgiving is at the heart of a great relationship with God. One reason I am thankful to God for calling me to be a coach is the power of God I get to witness during coaching. In Christ-Centered coaching I get to watch God open up new perspectives and lovingly guide His people to new and beautiful places where He is glorified and they are renewed. So amazing!

One reason I am thankful that God has called me to coach is for the opportunity to help women connect with the passions God has placed in them for their good, others’ good and His glory.  Being a part of the discovery and learning process is life giving: to my clients and to me!

I’m thankful to be a Christian coach in the amazing community of coaches that truly love, support, encourage and root for each other to be the best coaches we can possibly be for our clients. It is refreshing to be part of the Christian coaching “culture”.

As Deuteronomy 14:2 tells us, “You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.” That you refers to me and my clients. I’m thankful God gifted and called me to coach others in helping them find why they are his special treasure and how to use the gifts he bestowed upon them.

I am thankful that God has called me to be a Life Coach so I can inspire and empower women to become the best they can be so they can in turn inspire and empower their kids to be the best they can be. I am grateful that God has chosen to use me as one of His many vessels to spread His message of hope, grace, love and peace to all.

I am thankful that God called me to be a coach because my life experiences are being used to provide real solutions.  My poor life choices, His unfailing love and the abundant new life I have in Him inspires, provides real hope and creates a true desire to make change happen.  I’ve lived the superwomen life and I absolutely relate to women in this place.  I get to help great women find and live to their authentic selves in Christ.

One reason I am thankful God has called me to be a coach is because it is a wonderful blend of my gifts and interests.  I am humbled that He is using me to impact the industry that I love (direct sales – home party business) and help many women develop as leaders and build teams of magnificence.

I get to experience how my burnout and depression as a youth and music minister years ago was not wasted pain. Through God’s direction, I’m can draw from that difficult experience and coach ministry leaders with an understanding I otherwise would not be able to provide. The cool thing is I get to see firsthand how God takes the broken parts and uses them to His glory.

I am so very thankful for my school (PCCI) and for all of the Christian coaches who have walked before me… and are now turning back to help me and other coaches. What a gift!

I am thankful for the community of support in which God has placed me as He has called me to become a coach. He has connected me with just the right people at just the right time- family and friend support, Kim Avery, PCCI training, church community, exercise and health community, all the pieces needed to become more healthy and whole- to love, llisten to others, leap into a healthy changed life and live fully, in spite of my seasonal depression. I am blessed by many of you and I am grateful.
