Daring to Answer the Song of Your Heart with Christopher McCluskey, PCC (Part 1) – Podcast #006

by | 4 comments

Welcome to Episode 6 of Professional Christian Coaching Today in which we sit down with our show’s host, Christopher McCluskey, to hear his story as he has dared to answer the song of his heart, a song placed there by God.

Raised in a healthy Christian family, Chris was blessed beyond measure. But that didn’t make mean his path would be without countless challenges and overwhelming obstacles to answer God’s call on his life—a call that has not only touched his professional and personal life but also the lives of thousands.

Chris’s story offers important life lessons we could all learn from:

  • The importance of honoring the song God has place in your heart
  • Choosing to persevere in the face of adversity
  • Committing to running and finishing the race God has set before you
  • Sacrificing short-term pleasures for long-term gains
  • How a supportive family or community helps us weather life’s storms
  • And more

Thank you so much for sharing your story with so much passion and encouragement. I especially appreciated how you shared that things didn’t go smoothly and an “easy” transition.

I totally agree that challenges either pull families together or blow them apart. I observed this directly when my father died: An event which often results in bickering and infighting between the children actually became a powerful force for strengthening bonds.

I believe that this is, to a great extent, a choice. When you’re committed to each other and the strength of the relationship, uncertainty can help you draw on each other for help. When other priorities take over, it’s easy to let events tear you apart.

    Thank you, Chris and Kim!
